Meet our very furry member of our family, Shoka. We could only guess how he feels living in a house full of suffocating overly loving kids! We don't have to wonder any longer... You can read Shoka's thoughts as documented by me right here on his very own "Shoka Diaries" page! Hope it brings a smile to your face the same way he lights up our lives....

Dear Humans…

Dear Humans -

Hmmm I don’t think I know you and you’re making a loud mess everyday when you show up on my property! You bring loud equipment, big trucks, and leave lots of doggone leaves and branches lying around!

It’s sure making my hunt for my newest legless chicken ruff! I’m not exactly sure what happened here over the weekend, but I do know that “mommy” was crying while the snow fell and told me to stay away from the trees because branches were falling! She also fed me dinner in the dark?!!

My furless little friends and I did have fun on sleds and making “snow dogs!” They asked me to lay on my back and flap my four legs but it was too tuff – but I tried because I love them!

Now these guys are here cleaning up leaves and branches and I am pacing around madly! Mommy asked me if I was going to help the men and she saw in my eyes that I was saying “I’ll help as much as I help you carry in the groceries!”, which we know how well i do that!

So, my pacing continues – as I search wildly for my chicken! These guys need to learn how to properly treat a dog while working on his property! I need to find my chicken so I can teach them how to play with me!

Regardless, they stop to pat and pet me so I’m happy for that! They are nice guys!
Can’t wait til it’s quiet here so I can take my nap and be rested up before my furrless brothers and sisters come bounding out of the big blue bus with lotsa hugs and kisses for me!

Ahhh, the life of a dog in a big family!
Can’t beat it!
….anyone seen my chicken??

Woof!
Shoka
