I cannot believe I have two 7th graders and six 3rd graders! I worked late into the night last night, finishing my labeling school stuff, packing eight extra special lunches in their new adorable lunch boxes, painting nails and giving relaxing “spa like” baths (complete with spa music) to my three little girls.
Everyone woke excessively early this morning — AND — all in good moods and in happy spirits! We had our special “MomDonalds” breakfast sandwiches for breakfast and after our traditional front porch pics, we were off to the bus stop!
The kids happily unloaded from my bus, onto the school bus….I guess they are “all growed up” (haha terrible grammar; sorry, just had to! It drives Mady and Cara CRAZY when I purposely use incorrect english–> wait, “growed” isn’t even a word at all, period. Oh well! My blog post. I’ll write what I want!:) because they didn’t want me to get out and walk them to the bus — even on the first day!!! They said “we’re big now, mom!” Oh man.. Next they’ll be driving themselves to school! Time goes way too fast!
Anyway, all said and done.. I’m here rattling around my house alone… I miss my kids already and have said 100 prayers for their safety and happiness today on their first day of school!
Enjoy their 2013 first day of school porch pic!!!
